Greg Pickering
Lead Pastor

My wife Kathy and I have raised our family in Lake Jackson. Our younger son Jeff is a sophomore Communications major at Texas A&M. Our oldest son Michael recently graduated from A&M and now works at Dow Texas Operations. I’ll soon have a daughter in law when he marries Noelle, a teacher at Lake Jackson Intermediate School.

I came to BPF because...
After almost two decades as a Student Minister, I developed a passion to create an engaging and relevant church experience for students who usually dropped out of church after graduating. I was privileged to have that opportunity when the idea for a "church for the unchurched" was born in the hearts of several other likeminded folks back in 2001.

What I love about being a part of BPF...
Life change! When I can be a catalyst for someone taking a step of faith and then see the resulting change in their heart, their perspective, and often their circumstances, I get energized. I also love taking folks to Cambodia.

In my spare time...
Whether it's going to a ball game, out to dinner, traveling somewhere or working on a project around the house, I just like hanging out with my family. When I need a little "down time" I enjoy reading or watching shows like C.S.I. Miami, The Office, and 24. I’m also on a mission to visit every Major League Baseball ballpark - 18 and counting.

Did you know???
I’m a Wheel Watcher.

Married to Stephanie for 11 years. We have 3 children - Brynlee is 7, Aubrey is 4, and Lawson is 2.

What exactly do I do…
I am part of the leadership team of BPF and I lead the worship arts ministry of the church. Which means I lead the band and worship services each weekend as well as oversee all creative aspects of the weekend experience such as stage design, lighting, video, drama, etc.

In my spare time, I love…
Playing with my kids. Swingsets, walks, talks, books and wrestling on the floor with 3 beautiful children consume most of my leisure time and I love every minute of it! Also, I love golf, softball, baseball season and fantasy football.

Did you know…
I am a registered (card carrying) Choctaw Indian.

Kathy
Kathy Peters
Director of Children's Ministry

A native of Brazoria County, I married Jerry in 1977 when he moved here to work for Dow. We have two grown children. Jeremy and his wife Karin live in College Station and our daughter Kristen and her husband Paul live in Michigan.

When I came to BPF…
I was a volunteer before joining the staff to lead our Children’s Ministries.  We were on BPF’s Launch Team.  Jerry & I had a heart to do church in a different way that would reach people and introduce them to God.

What I love about BPF…
That people can be themselves and that as they take their next step with God life change happens.  I love to hear people’s stories of how God is changing their lives.

In my spare time, I...
Watch TV with my lap dog Gabby. I also like to spend time with friends and decorate my house when I have a little extra money.

Why I came to BPF...
I fell in love with Brazos Pointe Fellowship as a Student Ministry Intern while I was in college. Coming back to lead was an incredible opportunity.

What I love about BPF...
I love seeing students step over the line of faith. I love watching students develop into leaders. I love what happens when students put others first.

In my spare time, I…
stalk people on facebook, play with my kids, go to the movies, and work on my upcoming book, "The History of SPAM."

Ronnie
Ronnie Whitehead
Small Groups Pastor

I, along with my wife Teresa, have been residents of Brazoria County nearly our entire lives. We have three great kids: Chris, Leah and Cory. Teresa is a Registered Nurse and is employed by Brazosport Pediatric Clinic. Chris and Leah are our grown kids and Cory is a student at Brazosport Christian School.

I came to BPF as a member of the Plant Team in 2001 and came on board as the Worship Pastor. In 2007 I stepped down from that role and took on the responsibilities as the Small Groups Pastor. I've been in full-time ministry for the past 30 years as a Student Pastor and a Worship Pastor.

What I love about my job at BPF...I love when the light comes on in people's hearts and they see their place in the Big Picture of God's world. It's then that they kind of take a big deep breath and say, "Ahhhh .... I belong!"

In my spare time, I like... Anything related to baseball!!! I have coached baseball off and on since 1992. I love watching baseball and I'm a "die hard Astros fan"! However, I love to WATCH baseball, not TALK baseball. Oh yeah, I also attempt to play golf.
