Father-in-Law's Day

This is “Moses Part 2” – our previous series, Hope: Lessons from the Exodus, took us to Exodus 12 and the Passover. We will pick up with the Exodus and the crossing of the Red Sea.
God brought salvation to his people, delivering them from the oppression of Egypt, but even with all of God’s miraculous provision their newfound freedom did not sit well with them. Getting Israel out of Egypt was a challenge, but so too was “getting Egypt out of Israel.” By God’s salvation, his people had been freed, but now in their new normal God would need to do a work of sanctification in them.
Looking at their story will cause us to consider an important question: Do we fully appreciate and leverage the freedom that God has provided for us in salvation? How do we live in the new normal of freedom in a way that honors God?
