I'm With You

This phrase commonly means, “I agree with you.” I think we can all agree this has been a difficult season. Locally, Harvey has left a lingering impact. Globally, tension and uncertainty abound. If you look at the news and feel a sense of hopelessness, most people would quickly reply, “I’m with you!” But, even in the midst of hard times there is Good News. God also says, “I am with you;” not in despair – but as a hope-giving promise of his presence. At Christmas, that is exactly what we celebrate: Jesus, God with us. This good news changes everything! Even the way we view our circumstances, as we lean on God and say, “I’m with you!”
