We’re 16 years old!
As we begin our 17th year, BPF is still a church for the unchurched, guiding people to take their next step with God. We continue to form local partnerships with church plants and church planting organizations. Globally we remain engaged with the International Mission Board (IMB) and our mission partners in Bolivia, Kenya and Cambodia.
Why all the partnerships? Because our mission stretches beyond Southern Brazoria County. These relationships also keep us outward focused, serving as reminders that it’s not about us – it’s about people who haven’t yet met Jesus. When we see all that God has allowed us to be a part of, we can’t help but be grateful.
That’s why we celebrate our birthday each year with a World Missions Offering.
We will gather it Sunday, May 14. Three-fourths of what you give will be sent to the IMB and NAMB (North American Mission Board) to support overseas missionaries like our own Kevin & Lauren Glenn in Southeast Asia. It will also help start new churches in mostly unchurched U.S. cities. Each year we send the remaining 25% to a church or gospel-centered ministry that inspires us in our own mission.
This year’s designee is the Seattle Church Planting network. The network supports the church plants and church planters in greater metro Seattle. They do great work in resourcing, encouraging and equipping those who are starting churches all across the city.
Let’s encourage their work with our greatest offering of thanks ever.
If this is your first year to participate in the World Missions Offering I challenge you to give at least $25. If you have given before, I have a greater challenge – consider doubling what you gave last time. With grateful generosity we can help share the gospel, literally around the world.
Live bold,
Greg
