May 16 will be an eventful day at Brazos Pointe Fellowship. For starters, our worship times will be changing. We’ll also celebrate life change with Beach Baptism that afternoon. And refreshments will return on Sunday May 16 because… Keep reading.

Service Times Change

Beginning May 16 we’ll have more optimal worship times at both campuses that should balance our attendance as well as our volunteers.

Brazoria Road Campus

9:00 & 10:45

Mid County Campus

9:00 and 10:30

Beach Baptism

Sunday, May 16 // 2PM // Quintana Beach Park

I’m so excited to see this great BPF event return after a two year break. If you or someone you know has stepped over the line of faith to become a Christ Follower, this is the next step – going public with your faith. You can sign up Sunday at the Next Step Center or go to the BPF App > Click Next Steps > I Want to Be Baptized.

Refreshments Return to Sunday Mornings

We hope to have both coffee and donut holes back on May 16, but it all depends on volunteers. Since vaccines* have become available, attendance has increased weekly, but volunteers have not returned in proportion. We’re rebuilding our ministries. And we need you to step up, especially in Children/Preschool Ministries, First Impressions and Hospitality.  Remember, Everybody Serves!  We can reopen Hospitality because masks will no longer be necessary by May 16.

Masks Respected but No Longer Required Starting May 16

With vaccines* readily available across our communities since earlier this month, May 16 will give everyone who wished to be vaccinated time for their vaccine to reach a high effectiveness.  So out of respect for their safety, we’re asking you to please wear your masks two more Sundays. From that point forward we will respect people who still wish to wear masks, but will no longer require them. Our purpose for masks and distancing requirements has always been to provide a safe place for you to worship and prevent spread of the virus. Thank you for following our leadership during such difficult times.

Live bold,

Greg

*Vaccines: I’ve been asked multiple times whether or not someone should get a Covid vaccine. That’s a personal decision I cannot make for anyone else. Kathy & I took the vaccine and here’s a reliable source that helped us with that decision. It won’t tell you what to do, but will answer most of your questions.

ERLC Explainer on the COVID-19 Vaccine

The “Explainer” also has a link to a conversation Russell Moore, President of the ERLC, had this past December with Dr. Francis Collins, head of the National Institutes of Health and a committed Christian. You will not find any better sources from a medical or Christian ethics point of view than Dr. Collins and Dr. Moore. They offer thorough answers to your questions as they discuss the vaccine and other key issues in the video. Please read the Explainer and watch the video. Then decide what is best for you.
